Activities - All-camp Participation

While campers spend the entire week with their counselors and peer-aged cabinmates, half of the time everyone is spent together as an entire camp. Whether it be for raising or lowering the American flag, meals, campfire, or the aptly named "All-Camp Activities", everyone gets to know everyone else.

  ~All-Camp Activity~
Sometimes it's pre-announced, sometimes it's a surprise. Previous all-camp activities have included relay races, carnivals, group problem-solving challenges, and teamwork activities.

  ~Campfire~
The nightly campfire program is a chance for all the actors, actresses, and hams in camp to get in the spotlight and show off their talents to the rest of camp. Cabin groups come up with their own original skits or refresh old favorites with new twists. Campers can always expect someone to be doused with water, to have a blast with repeat-after-me songs (repeat-after-me songs), and who knows when the campfire emcee will pull out the marshmallows for s'mores.

  ~Chapel~
Daily, the entire camp attends Chapel where the energy is high and the lessons learned are kept simple and can be used in every day life. Whether it is singing and dancing to "Lord of the Dance" or "One Tin Soldier", or learning about The "Good Samaritan" it's a great time spent bringing our diverse world a bit closer together.

  ~Flag~
Every morning at Camp Saint Andrews the first thing we do before getting our days' fun started is to "Post the Colors" and every evening around sunset we "Retire the Colors" for the day. This gives all our young citizens an opportunity to learn and experience the proper way to handle our nations colors, as well as a time for Pledging our Allegiance to the Red, White & Blue.

  ~The Friday Night Dance~
To end our week of fun and adventure we have our Friday Night Dance. Always a favorite event for campers as well as staff, the dance gives everybody a chance to get out there and show off their moves. With current popular-yet-appropriate music being provided by our staff DJ's, a multi-colored light show, and glowsticks for everyone, the Friday Night Dance will be remembered by all.
